I was born deaf because of German measles during my mother’s pregnancy. I wear a cochlear implant, which totally makes me a cyborg! Does that hinder me? Nah. I don’t let it. It’s just a part of me like my brown eyes, and if folks have a problem with it, well, that’s their problem, isn’t it?

I’m a librarian by day and a writer by night. I work in an elementary school and it’s wonderful being surrounded by books and bright-eyed children who are ready to discover new adventures.

I write all sorts of things, from fanfiction to the novel I’m supposed to be writing right now. I’m super excited about it! However, don’t let anyone tell you writing is easy. It’s not. You need to have a passion, a drive, a want to push yourself beyond what you thought you could ever achieve. My favourite genre is fantasy, though I also write romance, science fiction, and the occasional poetry.

I am currently owned by a fluffy princess mini poodle named Honey, and my cockatiel Pikachu also thinks I am her personal servant as well. Thankfully the tank full of fish seems to have no opinion on the matter.
